Arthur returned and watched him. He started undressing no longer using the screen why bother when Merlin's seen every part he was hiding. He went in the water right away.

 

"No leaving, there's going to be a jousting tournament. I agreed to be part of it. It's not Gareth, everything on him is mirrored."

Merlin blushed a little but knelt down next to Arthur, "Gaius told me it'll be next week." He leaned an arm against the side of the large tub.

 

"So someone impersonating him... thats a relief," the raven said but it was also scary. "We'll have to keep an eye on him while he's here."

"if someone comes in wondering what's going on just act like you've been rubbing my shoulders or something so I'm limber for the jousing competition." sneaky. "Until then...." Arthur reached over and pulled on Merlin's scarf pulling him into a kiss.

Merlin smiled at Arthur then gasped as he was pulled over into the kiss. He blinked surprised that Arthur was still doing this with the enchantment off... maybe there was another one?...

 

His mind started to draw a blank and his eyes fluttered closed as he kissed back.

"You aren't enchanted now right?" Arthur wished Merlin would sleep with him, he longed for the day there'd be another's warmth next to him, but that day would have to wait. Probably until he was king himself. Now he was starting to look forward to that day but still didn't wish anything ill to befall his father.

"I was thinking the same thing... you were earlier. I wonder if the affects are still there," Merlin blushed and licked his tingling lips. He chuckled softly, "Arthur... I don't know if we should be doing this..." He felt his chest tighten up as he said it, and his feeling about Arthur were clear on his face.

 

"Well... I want you to know no matter what I'll stay by your side."

Arthur watched him.

 

"I wouldn't have it any other way, and I'm not enchanted see I can stop." smiles. (XD)

 

Starts washing his hair.

 

"We'll just have to have secret meetings, or.....Are you not interested in the prince of Chamalot?"

Merlin raised a brow and reached over as he started washing Arthur's hair for him, "it's not like me being here is all that out of place but do you really think your that irresistible?" He laughed and messaged his scalp for him.

 

The raven felt rather comfortable right now even though this was a touchy subject.

"Everyone loves me supposedly. I'm not sure when this poll was taken." it was true people spoke highly of his looks though he was a little oblvious about it, if anything he was more concerned about his weight. "Why is there something you do not like?" he flexed automatically feeling that he must to prove himself!

Merlin saw the flex and couldn't help but laugh, "your asking me this? The most wanted man in Camelot? I'm just an awkward servant boy only envied in a way by those who want to get close to you. Trust me your what everyone is looking for. I on the other hand... I really wonder why you want me..."

"You really wanna know?" he leaned closer. "I know you like me regardless of what i am. I could have been a pauper and we'd still be friends, I can't say the same for others who want to be close to me. At least i don't believe so."

Merlin looked into Arthur's eyes and smiled softly, "oh?" He dunked a bucket of water on his head rinsing the soap off of it.

 

"I wouldn't say that, more like tolerate your prince like behavior," he said sarcastically as he picked on Arthur. That was another thing, he wasn't afraid to challenge Arthur or talk against him. Even if he was just Arthur's servant he felt like he was close with him.

"really?" Arthur splashed him. "Well fine then, maybe we won't have secret meeting in the courtyard, or in Giaus' library, or in the armory.The danger of getting caught....The thrill....If you don't want to kiss me fiiiiiine." (XD)

Merlin's face turned several shades of red at that moment, "ah..." His shirt was wet but at that moment it didn't matter. He just discovered Arthur was a big perv, and the thing was... Merlin is a pervert too.

"You're blushing...." he smiled. "I think you have a crush on me." he didn't mind being high and mighty about it.

Merlin coughed then cleared his throat turning his head away, "U-Um... n-no I..." He turned his face away. "M-Maybe but Arthur when your kind you'll need an heir."

"When I'm king I may not need a blood heir. I just need a good just person. I'll adopt, but if I must have a blood heir....Well, we can cross that bridge when we get there, my father is well so there's no need to be troubled by it now. There are some oils over there Merlin." scented oils, Arthur hated the fact he hadn't bathed in about 3 days it drove him mad, again he was spoiled.

Merlin grabbed the scented oils and handed them to Arthur. He was still trying to process all of this, "wait... your really serious?" The raven sat next to him and looked at his face. "Your not just going to laugh in my face in a bit and say it was a joke... are you?" Of course being of Merlin's status it was troubling for him, also his big secret.

"Yeah because I just go around kissing men what do you think? Though by your reaction maybe it's a joke to you after all....Well tell me then, because if you're about to piss me off so help me I'll drawn you in bath water." he was mostly kidding he wouldn't really kill him. "I'm serious. I've been having nightmares you'd get killed if something happened between us, and those dreams also start out with.......Us being a little closer then we were earlier...Do you think it's easy for me? Waking up alone? Everyone loves me, so why isn't anyone in love with? Then there's you. There before I wake up. I'm use to you. Hell you call me a prat and I let it go. Do you think I'm horrid to you or something?" Arthur crossed his arms.

Merlin couldn't help but smile. Arthur was his wasn't he? This man trusted him with his everything and he trusted him. Well his secret could come a little later. He long Arthur's speeches because they always made him smile. Even if Arthur was being his usual prat self they were always genuine.

 

Leaned forward he pressed his lips to the other mans, "stop being a prat and get out the waters cold." He needed to get to his room soon or the guards were going to start wondering. The moonlight was shining through the window; full moon tonight.

"Stop being selfish and I'll stop being a prat." he kissed him back.

 

Then stood up. He got out drying himself with a towel. Letting the moonlight shine against his body. He looked out to it. The got into his pajamas. He looked at the water and walked over to it and picked up the bath with ease. He walked over to the window and looked down. He had to make sure no one was under him, not seeing anyone Arthur dumped the water out. Then went back to Merlin.

 

"Here you go, Gaius told me nothing heavy, is it to much?"

Merlin was shocked that he lifted the water and poured it out the window!!! He really hoped he wouldn't be blamed for that. Then he was confused, "Nothing too heavy?"

 

He cocked his head then remembered his arm, "oh! Yeah Gaius told me that earlier." He nodded his head. The arm was sore but nothing like before since he healed it.

 

"Well thank you and good night."

"Nothing heavy for awhile." Arthur got into bed to rest. "Night." He watched Merlin leave through his eye lashes and after he blew out the candle near his bed.

Merlin went to bed himself and sighed as he fell asleep.

 

The next morning guards burst into Arthur's room, "Sire! It's your father come quickly!" The were in a panic. Uther was pale and sick in his bed. He trembled and panted softly on the bed. He looked like he was at death door.

"Huh?" Arthur grabbed a robe and ran to his father. "Did someone get Giaus?" Arthur moved closer to his father. "Father? Father it's all right I'm here. We'll get you help." Arthur pointed at some knights. "Go to the kitchen and tell the cooks to make soups or something easy to swallow." He pointed to another pair of knights. "Get me two pans of hot water and some rags." He looked at three gaurds. "Two of you stand outside the other inside by the door. "And someone get Gaius and do whatever he says." he quickly delegated.
