Arthur grabbed his hand out of instict. His only other option was falling.

Merlin pulled him up into the room using his magic to nearly flot him inside then let go and stepped back from him.

He huffed and looked out the window. He was seeing waves of black riders rushing Camelot. Among them, was Arthur's uncle. They were Mordred's soldiers but it seemed his uncle commanded some of them.

 

"Camalot isn't prepared for this."

 

Arthur was watching his knights ride out to drive the forces back.

 

"I'll deal with you later Merlin." he looked at him. "If you wanted to keep me alive to see my people die......I'll fight protecting them." he wanted to trust him but he was afraid to, and he placed his people first.

 

He'd leave if Merlin let him. He'd probably die in combat. There were far to many.

Merlin looked at Arthur then a determined look came over his face, "well now that the secrets out." He walked over to the window looking out at the battle. "You need my help Arthur. Your my destiny Arthur. I can't let anything happen to you or the future of Camelot is..."

 

He took a deep breath and screamed out this strange language. Suddenly there was a roar and the dragon came down setting a lot of Morgana's men on fire.

Arthur moved closer looking out the window. Watching the dragon. He was partly in shock. Clearly Merlin was on his side. Maybe. He looked to him.

 

"......I'll trust you for now." though he wasn't sure what to do. "Where's Mordred?"

((nini im driving to GA tomorrow. We're staying up in the moutains. I shall try to write back as much as i can When we're in town I can use my phone and we do have connection at the cabin))

 

Merlin pointed down at the front of the castle, "he's waiting for me." Merlin stuck his hand out and the wand from under his bed appeared his his hand. "I am on your side Arthur." He turned and looked at him.

 

"No matter what... I love you Arthur. I always have and will even if you hate who I am," the raven climbed into the window. "don't die." He jumped down and floated himself to the ground.

(Got company anyway so no worries)

"And now he's going to be all heroic...."

 

He looked to his father and covered him up.

 

"Sorry I couldn't save you father....I'll do my best."

 

He opened the door and felt a shockwave zoom past him. He was smart enough not to step out infront of Morgana. She walked in and looked out the window while Arthur snuck out. He went to his father's magical room that he guarded off. Killing any who got in his way. He looked around and looked at a a well.

 

"M'lady...."

 

The waters rose up and a woman appeared in them. He looked up seeing Freya.

 

"I'm afraid, I will not survive this war, but I want to save my people."

"Morgana threw something in my waters long ago fearful you would find it. It will protect you from all harm and danger, and it comes with a gift from myself. Please unite the lands Arthur. You're our only hope now."

 

She was surrounded by water and held out a sheathed sword to him.

 

"This sword is known as Caledfwlch, and can only be wielded by one with hope and justice so pure that it's unmatched. I present Caledfwlch to you....King Arthur."

 

He received the sword.

 

"Thank you m'lady."

 

Arthur ran out and as he exited the castle he was meet with his uncle and two chimeras.

 

"You'll die here Arthur, any last words."

"Get out of Camalot, this is your only warning." His voice boomed over everyone to the point the fighting force.

 

The soldiers of Mordred beat their weapon on the ground egging him on. The knights retreated toward Arthur but there was no way any of them would reach him in time. The chimaras rushed him, and there was a blinding light, so magnificent it blinded all in Camalot. After a moment it was gone and Arthur was walking forwards. The chimaras dead, as well as his uncle. He pulled from his back a long spear known as Rhongomyniad, also known as Ron for short, and killed Mordred's soldiers with ease. He had distance on all of them.

 

"I'm not warning you again!" his voice boomed.

 

The knights were fighting again, and Arthur was making his way to Merlin.

Merlin was throwing men this way and that. His dragon then landed behind him and roared at Mordred. There was a stand down for a moment as they looked at each other.

 

"Stop this now!" Merlin yelled but was then thrown back. He was caught by the dragon and it breathed fire at Mordred. Merlin then yeled and threw Mordred back as he was blocking the fire.

Arthur was at Merlin's side. He took out Caledfwlch and again there was a blinding light but it dimmed. The blade shimmered like demonds, and during a brief moment of blinding light. Arthur had fixed the scribbered onto Merlin so he would not be harmed in this battle.

 

Wires and robes where tossed around the dragon.

 

"Camalot will fall, two kings will be burried, if anyone will be alive to bury them." Mordred stated coldly.

"Indeed two kings will parish. Two already have." he meant his uncle.

 

Arthur stepped forward.

 

"Merlin, make sure Morgana does not interfere with me. I'll fight Mordred."

"You can't take him by yourself Arthur!" Merlin set the ropes on fire setting the dragon free.

 

The raven raised his staff, "Morgana!" He thrust his staff at her and she couldn't block his powerful magic and went flying back.

 

((We're driving to GA soon... 9 hours in a car. I will post when I can. I'm sure I'll have to drive first so in 3 hours or so I'll be back. I'll trying to post back before we leave.))

Mordred threw a ball of fire at Arthur and with a quick swing he redirected it right back at him. Mordred dispelled it staring at Arthur.

 

"YOU'RE JUST A MAN!" Mordred screamed at him in fury.

"No different then you."

 

Mordred tried to push Arthur back but he advanced him fighting the strong winds. A wave of water trashed against Mordred a frozen into ice stopping the winds. Arthur rushed him swinging his sword against his chest barely scratching.

 

"YOU! YOU don't have MAGIC!"

"I've got friends," his sword radiated. "They do."

 

Mordred hissed as his eyes glowed as he spoke another language. Black armor formed around him. He smelled of fire and brimstone as well as death itself. This was the fabled Mordred who would kill both prince and king. From his helm there smoke sword he had turned into a great black axe with skulls decoration. He swung it down on Arthur and he blocked but fell on one knee. The light of his sword dulled and Arthur quickly rolled out of the way.

 

"And after I'm done with you I will kill Merlin!"

"I don't think so." Arthur dodged and ducked away from the axe. He was much to fast for Mordred at this point.

Merlin was flung back by Morgana and knocked out on the ground. She wondered over to him with that evil smile on her face.

 

"Baku!!!" Merlin screamed and exploded lightning from the sky killing Morgana in a powerful blow.

 

The raven then ran to Arthur's side. He shot a boolt of lighting from his staff at Mordred.

The burst of magic that hit Merlin only knocked him down with force however there wasn't an once of pain with it. The lightning did nothing against the black armor.

 

"Painite, a rare black and red gemstone, much like diamond only stronger. It's very rare."

 

To a person who knows magic they would also know Painite even though sinister looking on it's own, it's actually a purifying agent. That can heal a person tremendously, to the point of raising the dead, but such a feat is necromancy which is dark magic. It despeals magic, and wards it away.

 

Arthur rushed Mordred fighting him. As his blade fought back the Painite axe Arthur's blade began to lose it's shine. Arthur was driving him back. The sword burst into a ray of light as Arthur made a killing blow, and the light fated. Mordred had Uthor's sword in Arthur's side.

 

"How does it feel to be killed with the sword of peace?"

 

As Arthur fell Mordred put up a barrier to protect himself and ran Arthur through with the sword of peace. The barrier fell and spells flew at Merlin mercilessly and all of it fizzled before contact.

 

"STOP CANCELING MY SPELL!S!" Mordred shouted in rage.

 

He swung his axe at Merlin and it just stopped. The magical sheath protected Merlin 100%.

 

Arthur pulled the sword from his stomach and laid there for a moment.

 

"There's a weak point. He has nothing protecting his eyes." he got up allowing adrenalin to make him fight. "My name is Arthur Pendragon, future king of Camalot. You've killed my father, my men, and threatened the lives of the ones I hold closest to me." the sword resonated in his grip. "I'm not going to kill you Mordred, I'm going to erase you so you can not disrupt the harmony of all the nations to come!"

 

Mordred turned seeing Arthur bleeding out and standing as if he were at 100%. Both swords glowed in each of hand, and he moved them together, overlapping each other to create a bastard sword. Mordred moved his hand out and a dark aura tried to swallow Arthur in blackness, but it fizzled out.

 

"You have no power here, and you're out of chances."

 

Arthur ran at him. Instead of going for his eyes he went straight for his torso. The blow was deafening, and Mordred's armor shattered around him.

 

"NO! IT WILL NOT END LIKE THIS!"

 

Arthur kept rushing him and as he cut Mordred in half the druid's body began to deteriorate.

 

"Yes Mordred it's over."

"No.....Foolish mortal. You may when the battle with Merlin but not the war." Mordred hissed as his fast began crumbling off.

 

A dark substance invaded Arthur's body and posined him causing him to fall. Dying. The dark substance also branched out to Merlin but could not effect him and slowly dissipated. Arthur gave up his source of protection to Merlin willingly. His love for him was as true as his will for justice and peace.

Merlin watched in horror as everything took place. He knew Arthur's sword could handle anything. It was made of ancient magic forged from the dragons breath. As he saw Mordred fade away he was shocked to see Arthur fall to his knees.

 

"ARTHUR!" Merlin made his way quickly over to him. He then fell to his knees by his side. His hand went over the wound. He started to chant one of the ancient spells the dragon gave him. He poured his whole soul into fixing Arthur. He had too. He couldn't die now! Camelot still needed him. Tears streamed down his face as he sobbed.

 

"Don't die Arthur! I'm healing you!" he would do anything and everything to keep him alive.

He screamed as his wound refused to close. He was struck by a magical sword and it resisted Merlin. Mordred's soldiers all focused on Merlin and Arthur. The knights of the round defended them with all their might until every last soldier fell or retreated. The wound did heal finally, and Arthur's head rested on Merlin's knees. Pale and weak from blood lose. The knights watched him, and then talked amonst themself.

 

"Arthur wouldn't want us to stand here."

"What would he have us do?"

"Tend to the town."

"Tend to the villagers.

 

They all nodded in agreement and went through the town, putting out fires, and helping survivors and the wounded. One knight watched Merlin and Arthur from a distance.

 

"Will he be all right?" he wasn't sure if Arthur had passed away.

 

Arthur was breathing very lightly. He'd be unconscionable for several days, and most likely bedridden for a month.

Merlin was shaking as he held Arthur's head in his lap. He never wanted to see him this pale again and here they were. Once he gained his composure he asked a couple guards help him get Arthur into his chambers. He looked at the blond unsure of how to go about this. He should at least tend to him until he's better, than leave Camelot.

 

Removing his armor and clothing he cleaned the other body then put a fresh pair of clothes on him. After that he tucked Arthur into bed and stood by his side.

 

Gaius came in and saw he was comfortable, "maybe you should tend to the city right now. I'll watch him."

 

Merlin nodded and tore his eyes from Arthur, his heart breaking since he knew this was over. He went into the city using his magic to repair it. He thanked the dragon and sent him on his way. Then helped gather things for the villagers that they needed.

After two weeks Arthur became himself again. He was week, but awake and aware. He wouldn't be permitted to move around much if at all for another two weeks.

 

"How is everyone? What happened?........Where's Merlin?"

 

Arthur asked Gaius would he saw him.

Gaius helped him sit up in the bed and looked over at him, "he's helping in the town right now. He's been... using his magic to fix everything." He didn't want to tell him that Merlin was planning on leaving. The raven felt his welcome here was gone.

"Is....He needed that badly, or can I see him?" Arthur looked around a bit dazed still.

"He's trying to fix... I'm sure we can get him," Gaius walked out grabbing a guard to find Merlin.

 

The raven came in a few minutes later. Gaius nodded to him and shut the door behind Merlin leaving them alone, "How are you feeling?..." Merlin's voice was small as he slowly walked to the bed.

"Like I did utterly horrible in a jousting competition." Arthur sat up. "...What did you do with the scribberd I placed on you?"

 

Arthur looked down to see the large scar on his side and upper abdomen. He poked it a little.

 

"How....Is everything?"

 

Arthur felt uneasy Giaus left. Perhaps he knew of Arthur's love for Merlin, or maybe something was wrong.

Merlin cleared his throat, "everything is on your table. Um... the town if fixed. I finally got the water pumps working again and the farms outside of town. Well the farms at out outlining areas... some got attacked too so I went out to fix the crops. Their bringing in food I used magic to grow because most of the people in Camelot had none."

 

The raven shifted feeling uncomfortable talking to him about it, "once... once I fix everything and your well enough... I'll go. You won't have to worry about magic being here."

"Merlin......" this was disapproval in his voice.

 

He thought about it. Then realized now as as good a time as any to prove he was all right.

 

"Fine, just remember to come back. I want to make sure you like your new room."

Merlin perked up a little, "Arthur... why would you want me back?... Magic is illegal here... and you hate it."

 

The raven walked over to him looking down at the blond, "I... just don't know what to do."

[ideduce]

"What, no.....I don't 'hate' it....I'm cautious about it yes. It's not like i can defend myself easily against it." That could be debated. "Illegal.....Nope there are going to be some changes. It won't be illegal so much as you need a liciens and permission to do it. Maybe. I'll have to have a royal visor explain things to me.....Though.....It might just help if that person knew magic." he looked to Merlin. "And I wouldn't want him very far away from me, maybe even have them stay in my quarters." Arthur pushed it. ".....Merlin." (XD nice of was asking)
