Creatures in the Night (Dogcatfish x Arawn -- private)

Haru pulled away a little at the lick and the feeling of the claw, brushing away the blood from his lips. His heart was racing a little fast, not having expected this side of Valor. "I was catching my breath," he said softly before his nose wrinkled a little at hearing the bones cracking. It sent shivers down his spine, but not from pleasure or want. It was an odd sound, one that was eerie.

 

"Do you need me to leave?" he asked. He didn't want to be there in case Valor needed him to leave or if Valor got overly dangerous and couldn't control himself. He really didn't want to have to defend himself against a wolf.

"I should be fine..."

Valor whinched in pain as he dug his nails into the wood on the floor. He wasn't going to lie, he hated transforming like this. It was always so painful, his bones were breaking down and being remade into this lower form. He reached out and arm as his back arched, his arm twisting around and breaking. His collar bone shifting lower to bring his arms more infront of him. His face elongating into a snout filled with razor sharp teeth, while his skin began to tear revealing blood covered black fur.

Haru's eyes widened slightly as he watched the transformation. It looked, and sounded, so painful and he wished he could find a way to help Valor through it but he didn't know what would help the man through this time. He hesitantly reached out to softly stroke the blood stained fur breaking through. "I'm sorry," he whispered softly, tone soft and soothing. He was. He wished he could make it so Valor never had to go through this again.

"You have nothing to be sorry about. This was brought upon myself by my own selfish desires."

Valor stood shakily on his new limbs, the bones finally settling in place. He loved the feeling of Haru brush his fur. He turned and ran his body along Haru's naked skin out of affection. Even though he was clearly covering him with his own blood. Yet, he leaned down and licked the fresh would in Haru's hip, tasting his lovers blood again.

Haru smiled slightly as he was brushed against. Yes, it just increased the amount of blood on him, but he knew it was a sign of affection and he softly stroked Valor though his nose wrinkled and he inhaled softly at the lick. "Gentle," he said softly as his fingers resumed the petting. He was glad Valor hadn't sent him away, glad to have seen such an intimate part of the man's life.

"I cut you up so badly, and your clothes too."

Valor added as he gave a few more licks to the gashes before moving away from Haru. He sniffed along the floor taking in new scents as he made his way. He had some extra clothing, it was needed for his condition. He headed up the stairs, stopping and turning to look at Haru to make sure he was fallowing.

"Come unless you want to run around the forest naked? Not that I wouldn't mind that, though you might get a little cold."

"It's all right," Haru said with a gentle smile as he lightly scratched behind Valor's ears as he was licked once more. He slowly climbed to his feet, wincing a little at the pain that insisted on throbbing as he moved. Oh, he was going to feel worse after some sleep. He slowly followed Valor up the stairs, rolling his eyes a little at the comment. "I'm sure you would," he said with a soft teasing tone as he held onto the railing as he followed the wolf.

"You know I would."

Valor added as he entered the dust covered room, that Valor rarely entered. He entered the room sniffing the floor once and quickly bolting over to the bed. He disapeared under it before he crawled back out. Dragging behind him was an old cloth sack. He had put some of his clothing in it, though he didn't know if Haru would fit it.

"This should fit you, though it might be a little big. Better then nothing though.

Haru smiled a little bit as he followed Valor into the room. He lightly trailed his fingers through his love's fur before moving to look through the bag for a set of clothes. He found a pair and they were probably going to be quite baggy on him, but they'd work until he could get home.

 

"Where can I clean up? I don't want to get these filthy," he said with a soft smile at Valor. He'd hate to get something of Valor's dirty.

"Theres a pound out back that you can bathe in.

Valors tail wagged as he felt Haru run his fingers through his hair. He too would need to bathe, he disliked how the dust was sticking to his bloody fur. It made his nose ichy.

"Come I'll show you."

Valor replied nudging Haru towards the door, then he bolted out of the room and down the stairs. He quickly ran out the door and gave a few barks to hurry Haru up. As much as he usually hated being a wolf, but he had to admit he was having fun.

Haru laughed softly at the nudge and he followed Valor albeit at a slower pace because his body was still sore, and because he didn't have the advantage of running on all fours. He rolled his eyes at the bark. "I'm coming, I'm coming," he said with a soft smile as he finally made it outside, following the wolf to the pond. It was a lovely scene and he was just a little sad that they were about to leave it behind.

 

He softly scratched Valor behind the ears before setting the clothes down and moving into the shallow water. It was cool, but not too cold. He enjoyed the feeling against his skin, watching the water that lapped at the blood turn a faint pink before the color faded.

Valor dived down into the water. Rolling around in the water washing the bloof off. He then gathered up the urge to pounce on Haru and push him beneath the water. He held him down there for a moment, before he jumped off. He then climbed out of the pond and shook himself off, spreading water everythwere.

"Sorry I couldn't resist..."

Haru screamed slightly in surprise as he was pounced before he quickly surfaced, spluttering slightly and his hair hanging wet in his face. He brushed back his hair, coughing just a little bit but smiling softly. "Rude," he teased, sticking his tongue out playfully at the wolf before lightly scrubbing off his body and moving closer to the shallows. He slowly clambered out, slipping a little on the slick grass but he managed not to fall.

 

He grinned slightly and he quickly snuck up on the wolf before lifting Valor with a little difficult before moving and dropping him in the water playfully.

Valor didn't expect what was comming next. He didn't expect Haru to retaliate and throw him into the water. Valor faught with the water as he was trying to get back onto his legs again. He would get Haru back for this. No one throws a wolf into water. Valor crawled out of the water, completely drenched by the water. He shook himself off, distracting Haru with the water that clung to his fur. While Haru was distracted he bolted between his legs knocking him over and grabbed the clothing he had found for Haru. Holding them in his teeth he wagged his teeth. He was going to get him to give chase.

Haru's nose wrinkled when Valor shook off. Great, he was going to smell like wet dog now. He laughed, unable to help it, when Valor grabbed the clothes and wagged his tail. So the wolf wanted him to chase to him. That was cute in itself and he couldn't help but smile.

 

"Please give those back," he said with a smile, stepping towards Valor, watching the wolf's movement to see which way he'd move.

Valor shook his head as he stepped backwars slowly. He was watching Haru intently, he crouched low to the ground and moved around Haru. His tail wagging happily as he did so. He then suddenly bolted past Haru and into the forest hopping Haru would give chase to him. He wondered how face Haru would get before giving up.

Haru moved quickly to try and grab the clothes, but Valor slipped past him and into the woods. He rolled his eyes, but smiled before giving chase since it was obviously what the wolf wanted. He followed him easily for a little bit before his hips started to ache further and his pace slowed, quickly losing the wolf in the brush after a good 10 minutes of running. He panted softly to catch his breath, trying to catch any sounds of Valor through the forest, but he couldn't hear anything other than the breeze ruffling the branches.

 

He leaned against a tree lightly as his eyes surveyed everything, trying to figure out a way to get back to the house because that would be the best place to catch up with Valor since the wolf was probably still running. The thought amused him a little bit as he slowly started back in what he thought was the right direction.
