Kaito looked up from what he was doing and to Hiro's handsome face and smiled brightly. It had been a while since he last saw the other man so naturally he was surprised to see him there. Kei was in his room pacing back and forth feeling mortified and worried. Last night Ryo had gone out with his friends, as usual, but never came back. Ryo had one hand pressed against the wall of a building, hidden partially within the shadows of the alley and he held his head with his other hand. His hair fell down around him thing strands, soaked from sweat from the walk and from having been near Masao. His head felt like it was going to split and he could barely stand. It felt like he had drunk too much and had forgotten to keep hydrated, but he needed to get back to the room to let Kei know he was all right. Kei was searching for Ryo, not too far from the campus when he saw someone leaning on a building wall. Hiro smiled at Kaito's personality, finding it cute and endearing. "Yeah, come on," he said as he started walk down the sidewalk. "There's a really beautiful trail about 15 minutes walk from here. I hope you don't mind walking to get there. It's just easier then hoping in a car."

Ryo jumped a little at the touch, not fully with it and he looked up at Kei. "It's you," he said with a soft smile before he rested his head on Kei's shoulder. "I don't know..." he mumbled softly at the question, eyes shutting part way. "...but my head hurts...I feel sick."

Kaito shook his head expressing that he didn't mind walking in the least. He was in fact a very active and outgoing guy. "How was your week Hiro-san?" He asked as they began walking. Even though Hiro told him to drop the formalities, Kaito just couldn't stop himself.

A look of extreme anguish could be seen on Kei's handsome face. Ryo looked so pale and weak he couldn't only think of the worst as he held the other in his arms. "Ryo, we must take you to a doctor." He said and looked around for a taxi but saw none. "Lean on me, the bus stop is not that far away." He said gently, yet distress could be heard in his voice.

"Hiro, please," Hiro replied with a soft smile at Kaito. "But, my week was long though pleasing. I'm almost done with this part of my student teaching," he added, stretching slightly. "How was your week?"

 

He glanced at Kaito, just taking in the man's looks and personality. He was very happy that Kaito had agreed to hang out with him.

Ryo shook his head slightly at the suggestion, but quickly stopped because the movement caused his stomach to lurch. He must have caught something..."No, it's all right," he said softly despite using Kei for most of his support. "Just need some sleep."

 

He had barely heard the distress in Kei's voice, had barely been able to register it. It seemed as if he was trying to pull himself out of a fog that was refusing to let go. It was tempting to be pulled under, but somewhere he knew that he couldn't do that, that he couldn't give in. Something was lurking in the fog, something he didn't want to know.

 

His eyelids drooped as he leaned on Ryo. "Please no doctors," he muttered softly, voice trailing into silence as he fell into the fog, unable to stay awake any longer. He was safe with Kei, he didn't have to worry about anything.

Kaito smiled apologetically to Hiro and wondered whether he would be able to ever drop the formalities. "I see." A feeling of respected growing in him towards the older male. He wished he could accomplished something with his life as well. "Ah my week..." Kaito said trailing off and looked up at the bright sky. "It was okay I guess, if you ignore the fact that my parents have disinherited me. They didn't like the idea of me switching of majors." He said with a chuckle but it was more like sadness disguised as a bright smile.

Kei frowned not liking the idea of not taking Ryo to the doctor but he didn't want to upset the other either. Thus in the end, against his better judgment, he complied with Ryo's orders. Kei half carried Ryo all the way to their room, ignoring the weird looks he was receiving from the other students. Once in their room, Kei got Ryo to lie down on his bed and moved to the kitchen to grab a glass of water for Ryo. "Here, drink this. You look dehydrated." So many questions were swirling in his head but he knew that this was not the right time to ask.
