In the dark

There’s a light dazzling me that doesn’t allow me to see

A forbidden end road I want to go

A force that pushes and poisons me

There’s a glass cage from which I want to run away

There’s a volcano ready to erupt

An incandescent rain burning me

There’s a sin I want to commit

A word I deny myself to pronounce

I shove all the thoughts

I leave my mind blank

I try to be someone I’m not

Do I do it for your sake?

I do it for my sake

A fear I can’t face

A pain I can’t bear

A fighter?

A coward instead..

to your true self

 

no cage can hold

the sleeping dragon

of desire

 

no fire enough to burn

 

no rain enough to drown

 

for it shines

more brightly than the sun

 

just close your eyes

see

with your heart

 

fear will fade

in the glow

of a soul given wings

I liked it very much... I don't know why but short verses have always a stronger impact that long ones..
