Loinnir watched his brother write things out and think things through. He was always amazed at the process. He wasn't one for it much, but he was also not one to go hunting. He was here because of his brother and only because of his brother. If anyone else had asked, he would have decline and just stayed away. He finished his food before speaking.

 

"Let's go see this area where the victims were," he said as he sipped his drink once more and sitting up in his seat. They needed to get out of the diner and out to the area in order to get a feel for everything that was going on. Deskwork never really helped with much when it came to hunting.

Carter stopped scratching his head and looked up at his brother, a look of determination was evident in the man's purple eyes. He nodded his head before he pocketed the note pad as soon as he had done so the waitress came by with their check picking up their empty plates. "Here you go sir, pay when ever your ready..." She gave Carter a wink and started to leave before he stopped her. "Uh miss? Is this number correct?" He asked her looking at the bill. She turned around and looked at the bill and giggling slightly. "No that's my number and the cost is at the bottom~" She giggled once more.

 

The older light haired male took out his wallet from his front pocket and placed the bills down on the table smiling at her. "Oh well... I guess I'll keep it then..." He smirked at her which made her blush and take the money pocketing it and walked away. Carter put his wallet back in his pocket, took one last drink before he took the bill and crumbled it up. He stood up and looked at the younger male with a soft smile. "Alright! Lets hit the road!"

God, I hate girls, Loinnir thought a little bitterly at the giggle coming from the waitress. He was glad when Carter had paid the bill and the woman walked off. He blinked slightly when Carter crumpled up the bill. He was fairly certain that was one of the few times that had happened.

 

"Goodness, you've grown up," he teased playfully as he slid out of the booth. He fixed his clothes to make sure he looked neat before he smiled at Carter before leading him from the diner. He stretched slightly when they were outside. He felt more awake now that he had food in him, which was good if he was to be of any help this day.

Carter glared playfully at his little brother before he wrapped his arm around his brother's neck and pulling him closer to him ruffling his hair. "And your just plain mean! After I had fed you and put food in your belly!" He then took his free hand and rubbed Loinner's belly with some difficulty due to the fact that his brother was very close to his body.

 

People passing by looked at them with strange glances, not sure what they were seeing. The older male was laughing while he kept on messing up the younger males hair.

Loinnir grimaced slightly at the ruffling. "You're an ass," he grumbled, brushing away his brother's hand though his cheeks colored slightly at the hand on his stomach. He removed himself from his brother's grip with some difficulty and set to untangling his long hair, glaring at Carter before shooting a look at two people were talking about what they had just seen. People were seriously nosy.

 

He waited for Carter to unlock the door of the car before he crawled into into the seat, still working on his hair and grumbling softly. The problem with long hair...and his brother constantly wanting to mess with i.

He laughed softly before he walked over to his car unlocking it and getting in. He noticed his brother still trying to fix his hair when he got inside of his car. He started it up, turning on some ac dc and driving away tapping his steering wheel along with the beat. "Hey sorry about messing up your hair... But I just couldn't help myself!" He smirked lightly before he grew more serious. "Alright so here's the deal... We go and see what caused the two men's deaths and kill the son of a bitch... Then we go home and see what is up... And finally we'll look for a new gig... Sounds fair?" He asked looking over at his brother for a few minutes before looking back at the road again.

"Oh yes, you're totally sorry," Loinnir said with a playful roll of his eyes and smile. He finally finished making himself looking presentable as his brother continued talking. "Yeah, that sounds fair," he agreed as he sat back in the seat and buckled up. He reached over and turned the music down a touch. He could only handle so much of the same music over and over again. He had momentarily forgotten about going home...that should be fun...He really didn't want to go back there, but they couldn't just ignore everything that was going on at the place.

Carter tapped his brother's hand away from his stereo system and turned up his music again. "Nobody touches the stereo but me..." His voice was low as he sneaked a glare at Loinnir. "I glad you think so... Hey check to see how much farther the town is..." He said while he slowed down slightly due to there being more cars on the high way. He also noticed somebody on the side of the road. They looked like they were having car trouble. So being the good person he was he pulled over as well but behind the black van. "Hey wait here... I'm going to see if this person needs help..." He parked his car for the fourth time that day but kept his car running. As he stepped out he noticed that it was a brunette haired male who was having the car trouble. "Excuse me sir! But do you need any help?"

Loinnir stuck his tongue out with a playful glare when his hand was tapped aside. "Then play good music," he said with a roll of his eyes before he pulled out the map. "200 miles, according to the map," he muttered after a minute. He looked up when Carter started to pull over, pale eyes moving to the brunette man having car trouble.

 

"Dumbass," he muttered as his brother climbed out of the car. He hesitated a moment before he slid out to make sure the brunette wasn't going to try anything. He didn't trust people all that often, even those who looked like they were in need of help.

 

The brunette looked up when Carter called. "Just a bit of car trouble," he answered with a gentle smile which just made Loinnir scowl a little.

(OOC: Yeah he's a demon, and his purpose in the plot his to put a wage between the two brother's =).)

 

Carter nodded and walked over to the man and checked his car out, kicking the tires to make sure they weren't flat. He bent down to look underneath the car to see if anything was leaking and found nothing. "Well your wheels aren't flat... And the cooling fluid isn't leaking nor is the break fluid... Hmm... Can I see under your hood?" He asked before he turned and looked at his brother. "Loinnir! Didn't I tell you to wait in the car?" The older males voice held some anger in it.

Loinnir narrowed his eyes at the tone coming from his brother and he surreptitiously flipped his brother off before going back into the car. He left the door slightly cracked, however, so he could hear if anything happened. He was a little tempted to let it happen because of the tone. His brother could be such an ass sometimes.

 

The brunette noticed the interaction, but he popped the hood of the his car. "Boyfriend?" he asked as he propped the hood up, glancing at Carter. "...it just made a kind of hissing sound before stalling out on me."

Carter rolled his eyes when he saw that, he thought his brother was acting childish. He shook his head before he walked over towards the brunette and looked under the hood with him. He then chuckled shaking his head at the man, "What! Boyfri- Oh no no no! He's my little brother!" He said laughing even more before he checked the problem out. "Well... It looks like your radiators been shot..." He looked at the man with what looked like a sexy face to anybody else but in truth he was just smiling softly at the man. "You probably have to call a mechanic... Or a tow truck..."

The man laughed softly. "I'm sorry! I didn't know he was your brother," he apologized with a sheepish smile.

 

"Damn," the brunette said with a sigh as he lowered the hood of his car, but he smiled softly in return at Carter. "Thank you for your help, Mr....." he paused to show he didn't now Carter's name.

 

Loinnir watched the interaction through the mirror, scowling a little at the look on his brother's face. He was well aware it was a smile, but others didn't see it as such. He bristled a little at his own irritation. He really needed to get over this because it wasn't like he could do anything.

Carter laughed lightly before he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Ah... Well people mistake him for my boyfriend and then I tell them that he's my little brother and they look kind of revealed..." He laughed even more before he stopped and gave the man another soft smile. "I'm Carter.... Carter Ross.." He held out his hand towards the other guy. "And your welcome... Do you need a lift to a nearby gas station to use their phone or are you okay out here on your own..."

"James Bennett," the brunette said with a smile as he shook Carter's hand before giving a slight grimace. "Sorry, hands are dirty," he apologized as he straightened and took out a rag to clean off his fingers before offering it to Carter. "A ride would be great, thank you," he added with another smile as he tucked the rag away and let Carter lead him to the car.

 

Loinnir's eyes narrowed and he moved so he was sitting in the backseat, letting James get into the front. He never wanted a stranger sitting behind him. He thought his brother wasn't all that bright for offering James a ride...he would have personally just let the man stay on the side of the road.

Carter laughed softly smiling at the man. "No problem James..." He said before he got inside of his still running car and turned to look at his little brother seeing a distasteful look crossing over his face. The older brother sighed and rolled his eyes slightly before he pulled back on the high way and drive away from the broken down car. He took out his ac dc cassette tape and placed Led Zeppelin in and pressed play. He turned the music down slightly before he looked over at the brunette.

 

"So... James... Where were you heading off to? If I may ask..." The light haired male's voice was calm and quite relaxed. For some odd reason this guy was making him calm while his brother had a different effect on him.

"Just going on a cross-country trip to Washington," James answered with a smile at Carter before turning to introduce himself to Loinnir. Loinnir grasped the hand offered for a brief second before quickly letting go. The man just had him up-in-arms.

 

James smiled slightly, seemingly unphased as he repositioned himself in the seat and smiled at Carter. "What about you two?" he asked.

 

Loinnir refrained from talking, knowing it would be better for everyone. He didn't really care that he seemed to be irritating his brother. His brother was the one who let a stranger into the car.

He sighed and looked at his brother from the rear view mirror and gave him a look before he looked forwards at the road. "Well we're doing the same thing..." he said softly still keeping his eyes on the road. He was wondering what Loinnir's problem was. He slowed down slight due to there was more cars on the highway now. He glanced over at the side of the road to look at the sign telling him that the next gas station was 4 miles away.

Loinnir ignored the look from his brother. He was irritated, but he was keeping an eye on James for any signs of distrustful behavior. He could still do a job even when irritated at his brother for letting some stranger into the car. He didn't seem like his brother even took the man as a possible threat.

 

"I'm sorry the drive is so long," James said with an apologetic smile at Carter and Loinnir. He seemed rather at ease and glad that at least one of the brothers was relaxing.

Carter shook his head glancing over at him and giving him a soft smile. "It's no problem at all..." He spoke softly as he passed another sign that said 2 miles until the gas station. He leaned forwards and changed the song. He released a sigh. He knew he was going to get an ear full when the brunette leaves the car. His smile turned into a frown. He was so not going to like his ear being bitten off by his brother. Oh well... It can't be helped right now.... He thought looking at the signs as he drove pass them.

Loinnir was more than happy when the conversation lapsed into silence. It meant he didn't have to listen to James make friends with brother. He was glad when they finally reached the gas station. He waited for James to get out before following suit. He was thirsty and would rather like a drink. He still had every intention of telling his brother off, but something to sip on was the order right now.

 

"Thank you so much," James said with a smile at Carter, watching the older brother. "I'm real glad you stopped to help me. I'd still be stuck out there otherwise."

Carter smiled right back at him before he nodded his head and gave the guy a wink. "Anytime... And don't sweat it... I'm just a good heartened person that's all.." He said giving the guy a sweet smile. "But I would like to say that I'm sorry for the way my little brother acted... He's usually a nicer person then that..." He sighed leaning back in his seat rubbing his forehead as he then felt an on coming headache.

"It's all right," James answered with a smile and shrug. "It could have been worse," he added, eyes moving to watch Loinnir as the pale haired man came out of the gas station. "But I suppose I should go." He opened the door of the car. "Thank you so much, again."

 

Loinnir took his time as he left the gas station, not wanting to have to encounter James. Just something about the man got on his nerves and the man had barely talked.

Carter gave him another smile and watched the man walk away from his car, just then his calm mood dropped and he was shaking his head. He gripped it for a few minutes closing his eyes as a terrible pain shot through his head. He groaned moving his head back shutting his eyes tightly trying to ease the throbbing in his head. A few seconds had passed before he opened his eyes slowly wondering where in the hell did that god awful pain had came from. He looked to see if he could see the man but he was gone and he saw his brother walking towards the car with a soda in his hand.

Loinnir frowned slightly as he watched his brother through the window, speed picking up now that James had left. He quickly slid into the front seat, setting the two drinks in the cup holders. He had gotten something for Carter in case his brother had wanted anything.

 

"What's wrong?" he asked, tone worried. His eyes watched his brother carefully. If that man had done anything to him..."Do you need anything?"
