Dai arched an eyebrow as he watched Kohaku, slightly amused. He handled his drinks a lot better than his older brother did and it was a bit of a bitterly amusing thought. "We'll find some place when you're more up to it," he said with a shrug as he shifted in his seat to a more comfortable position. There was no point in going out if his brother puked everywhere. That would just completely ruin any fun that they might have.

"Sure, sounds fine," he agreed to the drinking at some point. He didn't comment on his brother being an easy target though he stored the information away. He wasn't entirely certain as to why he was doing that though a twisting in his gut gave some hint. Well, that was just unpleasant and he'd have to keep all thoughts along those lines away.

((ooc: I have to head to bed. :3 I'll be back about 4:30/5 pm CST tomorrow. ^^))

((Alright then :3 See you then!))

"But..."he muttered and he knew he was right. He frowned but put his head back on the table. The cool wood was soothing to his skin. While he looked up at his brother, he knew that some of the deep thoughts he had towards him was wrong but he couldn't help it. He honestly wanted him. More then he should have. He had realized this five years ago and had made the quick decision to leave. Closing his eyes, he wondered when he would end up taking the forbidden fruit. For so long he had held himself back. He had wanted him to find a life beyond him but Dai couldn't seem to get past that.

When he had agreed to drink with him, he smiled. "Sounds like a plan then." he told him. Letting out a groan, he looked back up at him. "You've grown quite a bit." He said as he chuckled. "Anyways, what do you want for breakfast? In a few more minutes I should be fine enough to make breakfast for the two of us."

"Anything's good," Dai said with a shrug as he watched his brother on the table. It was still a little amusing to watch his older brother be brought down by a couple of drinks. He had always thought his brother was so strong, but he had always thought his brother would be there for him as well. That had proven far from true. When he needed him most, his brother hadn't been there. Neither had his parents, but he could live without them. All he had ever wanted was his brother.

He stood and went to the fridge to grab a coke to drink, just needing to get up to do something since he wasn't willing to think anything too negative right now. After all, he was trying to have a good day with his brother. He also grabbed a sprite and set it down in front of Kohaku. "For your stomach," he explained, sitting back down and taking a sip of his drink.

When told anything was good, he started to think. Kohaku had learned to cook just a bit when he was in university. Though, a traditional pancake breakfast sounded good to him. Yawning, he sleepily stared ahead for a moment before sitting straight up. He was starting to feel a little better. Maybe he acted like a spoiled brat when he was feeling sick but he didn't care. It was just the only times he ever acted spoiled. He chuckled at the thought of Dai coming to his beck and whim but he quickly threw that idea out of his head.

His eyes watched Dai as he headed to the fridge and when he came back with a coke and sprite, he stared at the drink that was set in front of him. When told it was for him, he smiled a bit. At least his brother was being nice. Opening it, he took a long sip before setting it down, feeling much better. "Alright. I'm going to make breakfast." He said as he set to work. Taking out the pancake ingredients, as well as eggs and bacon. Kohaku made sure there was syrup before he set to work. He was now more energized then ever.

Dai smiled slightly, sipping his drink as he watched Kohaku. It was a little easier to be nice to his brother when Kohaku wasn't feeling well, and when it was a bright and sunny morning. He watched his brother ready the ingredients before starting to cook. He was a little surprised that his brother was cooking, but, he supposed, that his brother had to learn to cook once he was out of their parents' house.

He got up and threw away the empty can of coke before grabbing another one and leaning against the fridge as he popped the top and sipped it, eyes wandering over his brother. He had always been vaguely aware of wanting him, even at thirteen, but it had never really cemented until later on. It might have been why he was so irritated with his brother's leaving, not that he would admit to anyone. He probably couldn't even admit it to himself no matter how true it was. Watching his brother cook, watching his brother bend over on occasion to grab something, made his lower belly stir with warmth. He pushed the thoughts aside. His brother was his brother and didn't harbor any similar feelings towards him.

Kohaku had finished the food in about 30 minutes for the two of them. Setting them at the table as well as pouring two glasses of milk for the two of them. He went to the sink to wash his hands off and looking at Dai, he smiled. "You can go eat." he said to him. Whenever he looked at the male, he had a gut wrenching feeling. Maybe guilt? It really seemed it was his fault that his brother was like this. He had always been there for him but then he just suddenly cut it off like that. He ran his fingers through his hair before putting the pans inside the sink. After some thinking, he figured one day he'd be able to tell his brother why he had left. He just needed to find the right time.

Quite possibly when he wasn't going to visit home often or when Dai would get married. He didn't particularly like girls. He knew that that was placed too far into the future and just sighed as he grabbed the syrup and headed to the table. Setting it down, he sat down and looked at his brother. He was precious to him and yet Kohaku couldn't stop thinking some things about him. A very dangerous thing to be thinking and yet, he couldn't help it. It wasn't helpful that when he finally came back, the want of his brother was getting stronger. Averting his eyes, he poured the syrup onto the pancakes and started to eat. He needed his mind off of that.

Dai helped set the table and he grabbed some napkins for them before sitting down his chair, setting the coke beside the glass of milk. He wasn't a coffee drinker so the soda was his caffeine for the day. He waited for Kohaku to get done with the syrup before using a little bit of it on his food.

"Thanks," he said before starting on his plate of food. He ate rather neatly even with his appearance. His parents had made sure he had known how to eat without embarrassing himself. He let the conversation fall into silence as he ate, not certain what to say. His gaze occasionally flickered to his brother before he looked away. It was just a little awkward because being closer to him just revved up his want.

While he ate, he started to think. Maybe he could try to rebuild what they had before. He was a bit curious at first and when he finally looked up to take a sip of milk, he looked at Dai. Maybe they could watch movies or something. He didn't care too much. Just as long as he could hang out with him. "Let's go out today." he said as he smiled. "Anything that you like to do?" he asked as he finished the pancakes and moved onto the eggs.

He just hoped that they would be able to talk again, but this time without having to fight against each other anymore. Kohaku could wait and hopefully Dai would be willing to talk soon. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do after the break ended here though. He still had to go to school, especially since he had already paid for the classes. Part of him wanted to stay with his younger brother however.

Dai rolled his eyes slightly at the offer to do something, but he nodded slightly. "Sure," he said before finishing his plate. Once he was done, he put it up and cleaned it off before removing whatever was done being used so Kohaku wouldn't have to do too much work. His brother had made breakfast after all.

"I don't care what we do. What do you want to do?" he asked as he sat back down, pulling his coke over and finishing it before turning the can in his hand as he watched his brother. Oh, he had things he wanted to do, but he was being good. He didn't want to scare his brother though it was tempting given the anger that still lurked below his current demeanor.

He smiled a bit happily when he agreed to it and he was definitely feeling a little better. He let out a soft sigh of relief before finishing his breakfast as well. Putting his plate and utensils into the sink, he washed his hands again and looked at Dai as he asked what he wanted to do. Thinking about it, he hummed a bit. He wanted for them to do something fun at least.

"Well, from what I remember, there were movies, the beach, amusement park, the park, and arcades that we used to go to." he said as he mused about it, taking his seat again. From the time he had driven to the town, he had seen that very little had changed about the town. He was grateful for that. Kohaku fiddled with his fingers for a moment before smiling. "What sounds more fun?" he asked him. He liked every idea but he knew it was too difficult to go to all of them all at once.

"Let's go to the beach," Dai said with the slightest smile, not entirely innocent, at his brother as he finished his last coke before heading back towards his room to change into swimming trunks and pull on a t-shirt. He wasn't always fond of swimming, but the chance to see his brother in a swimsuit was too much to pass up. Maybe it would make him less irritated with his brother. Once in his room, he changed quickly though he sighed softly as his fingers brushed the small scars along his hips and a little up his side. He then pulled on a shirt, brushing aside the thought that maybe swimming was a bad idea.

He slid on his flip-flops before grabbing a towel from the hall closet and he walked down the stairs to wait for his brother.

Kohaku could feel his heart beat just a bit when he saw him smile and he had to fight back the bit of blush that threatened to appear on his cheeks. He hadn't expected to see his brother smile and he just smiled back. Heading upstairs, he decided that he'd take a quick shower. He just didn't like it when he didn't shower in the morning. It didn't take long for him to be out of the bathroom with his swim trunks on and a white t-shirt. He stretched and felt happy, and excited to go to the beach. Running his fingers through his hair, he grabbed his keys and a towel before heading down the stairs.

Seeing him down there already, he smiled before ruffling his brother's hair. "I remember before you didn't like swimming." he said as he lightly grinned, showing he was just teasing. Letting his hand drop to his side, he opened the door and headed to his car. Looking back, he waited for Dai. "I'll treat you to ice cream when we get there!" he shouted to him and smiled.

Dai blinked at his hair being ruffled, arching an eyebrow slightly but he gave the barest smile. It was almost like old times. "Sure, ice cream's always good," he said as he walked out to the car with his brother before climbing inside. He buckled up as the car was started and they were on their way. "And I enjoy swimming, usually," he added teasingly, feeling a litlte better now that they were out of the home.

The beach wasn't too far from the city so they were able to reach it in decent time. Once there, he got out, nose wrinkling a little at the heat. Oh well, this should be fun. He slid off his shirt and put it on the passenger's seat before shutting the door after grabbing his towel. He stretched a little bit in the warm sunlight, waking up considerably.

While they drove, he didn't particularly say anything. He was just watching as the scenery passed by while he drove. When they reached there, he looked out at the sand and he smiled as he heard the waves crashing. Oh it felt great to be back near the beach. He grinned lightly but seeing Dai slip his shirt off, he felt the blush he had fought away coming back. He quickly turned his head away wondering what was wrong with him. He quickly gained his composure when he heard the door slam and looked up. It was hard to imagine what his brother had turned into.

Grabbing his towel, he slipped his shirt off as well, finding it just a bit too warm for his taste. Heading out into the sand, he put his towel down, sitting down for a moment. Over the course of 5 years, his body had been toned. Something to preoccupy his time for when he didn't have classes. He was still pretty lean but it showed that he had worked out only a bit. While he sat there, he remembered the times they would go swimming here and he really found it fun. Now they had grown and it still almost felt the same. Kohaku let out a sigh, standing up. He turned to look at Dai and lightly grinned. Grabbing him by the waist suddenly, he pushed off of the ground to tackle his younger brother into the water. He wanted them to have fun and one thought would have been to get him into the water as soon as possible.

Dai's eyes slipped over his brother momentarily before laying out his towel. His brother was in fairly good shape and was quite the sight to watch. The skin over the muscles was smooth and seemed flawless, especially compared to his own body which had scars in quite a few places. He hadn't been the nicest to his body nor had....he slammed the thought aside. Today was going to be a good day unlike the night before. He was determined of that.

He arched an eyebrow at seeing Kohaku grin and he had no time to react before he was in the water. He spluttered slightly as he surfaced, wet hair hanging in his face. Oh, so his brother was going to play that way? He brushed his hair out of his eyes before giving Kohaku a wink. In one quick movement he had his brother lifted and then ducked in deeper water. He was older now and he had worked out to make up for his scars so he could lift his brother quite easily.

((I have a funny idea involving seaweed. ;) But I have to go to bed. ^_^

((Sounds like it'll be amusing haha. Alright then :3 Night!))

Kohaku lightly smiled as he surfaced and took a deep breath. Shaking his head slightly to get his bangs out of his eyes, he looked at Dai as he surfaced and he smiled. Seeing him wink at him however, he was taken back slightly. Feeling himself lifted from the water, he let out a yelp as he was dunked into deeper water. He quickly surfaced, coughing slightly. Flicking his head to get his hair out of his face, he frowned. "Hey! That's not how to treat your elders." He said to him.

He had been surprised that he had managed to lift him out of the water so easily. Though, looking at him again, he had realized he had been working out as well. Scooping up some water, he threw some his brother's way before swimming backwards, feeling the rocking waves around him. This was definitely a lot of fun. Kohaku had expected the two to be at each other's throats but they were behaving like how most siblings would. It made him really happy.

Dai moved away from the water and a devilish smile crossed his face at the words. He easily followed Kohaku further out, where he slipped an arm around Kohaku's waist and momentarily brought him closer. "Oh, how am I supposed to treat my elders?" he asked, voice a just light purr as he smiled at his brother before letting him go and moving a little ways away so he could float on the water, letting his brother mull it over. It was mostly a tease, but it was also to see his brother's reaction.

As he floated, something brushed against his leg and he blinked slightly, fairly certain it was his imagination. Then it happened again and he made quite an unmanly sound as he jumped and more-or-less ran out of the water, heart pounding hard. Oh hell no. There was something in the water and it had fucking touched him. He wasn't going back into there, not even under threat of death.

Kohaku blinked a little bit when he felt his arm wrap around his waist and looking at his younger brother, he was a bit startled. Upon his question, he was a bit dumbfounded and watching as he moved away, he let the water rise to the point that it only was his eyes showing above the water. He could feel his face burning. What kind of person was he to react like this to his brother? He blew out bubbles at the thought and watched Dai for a moment.

Hearing a strange sound come from Dai, he watched as he headed out of the water in quite the speed. He raised a brow before laughing, heading back with him but much slower. Once at the shore, he walked up to him, sitting right beside him. "You alright?" he asked him, clearly amused by the reaction from earlier.

It had been a shame that his brother had sunk low into the water before he could see the reaction. He had been looking forward to see it, at least before the thing in the water had touched him. He flipped off his brother when he heard Kohaku laugh at his reaction to be touched.

"Go to hell," he mumbled, resting his arms on his knees when he sat down on his towel before he laid back on it, stretching out in the warm sunlight. His eyes flickered to Kohaku before looked up at sky. "I was touched in the water," he explained after a minute of calming down, cheeks faintly red from embarrassment.

Watching him a moment, he heard him mumble and he chuckled. He sat down on his towel as well and when told that he was touched in the water, he blinked a couple of times. Kohaku looked at his face turn red a bit but he turned his eyes to the sky, a small chuckle escaping his lips. "You're still kind of cute." He said as he hummed.

He found it amusing that his brother was so wary of the ocean. He didn't seem to trust it so much. For him, he just loved the water and he loved the ocean. It felt good to be out and about in his opinion.

Dai rolled his eyes at the words, but he gave a slight smile. "I try," he said with a slightly playful tone before falling silent as he stared up at the sky. It was nice to be hanging out with his brother. It almost made him forget about him leaving and the things that happened in between. It almost made him want to try and better himself, but that was shoved aside quickly. His brother was just going to leave again so there was no point in being a better person, at least in his mind.

"What do you want to do later?" he asked after a few minutes of silence, looking over at his brother. His eyes wandered over his brother, unable to help it. His brother had definitely gotten better looking since he had left and it took quite a bit of his willpower to not jump his brother then and there.

He smiled at his answer and while they sat on the towels before he fell back onto it, staring at the sky. The sun felt good against his skin and he certainly relished it. Kohaku closed his eyes, taking in deep breaths. He missed being in this city. It just felt nostalgic and so familiar just to be there now. His eyes opened when he was asked what he wanted to do later and looking at Dai, he tilted his head to the side.

"Well, if you're hungry again, we can go eat somewhere. If not, then we can go to the movies or shopping." he said as he laughed. "I was thinking of getting a few things while I was here anyways." He had promised souvenirs for his friends back at the university. Thinking about it, he sat up. "Actually, let's go to the mall. If you have anything you want, then just tell me." Kohaku wanted to spoil his brother. While he waited for an answer, he just watched him. Why was it that he felt this way about him. He ran his fingers through his hair as he pondered about this issue. Unknowing that his brother felt the same way, he just sighed quietly to himself.

Dai sat up and stretched slightly, smiling a little at the offer. "Sounds good to me," he said with another smile before leaning close to Kohaku since he couldn't resist teasing his brother. "But I don't like terribly innocent things," he purred in his older brother's ear, flicking his tongue out rather seductively and showing the tongue ring that adorned it as he gave a wink before he sat up fully. Enough teasing and he might win his brother over his way.

He smiled slightly as he stood and brushed off the sand that stuck to him before grabbing up the towel and looking down at his brother, waiting for him to say something or to get up. Or maybe even ohysically do something. That would be rather interesting and fun for him.

While he started to dust off the sand on his arms, he hadn't noticed Dai coming closer. However, hearing his voice in his ear, he felt a shiver go down his spine and he was a bit startled. Enough to the point that made his mind go blank. "Wha--Hey!" he exclaimed. Kohaku had snapped from his daze and stood up, brushing himself off. "Don't be teasing me like that." he said as he lightly frowned. Though, he had said that because now his heart was racing.

Grabbing his towel, he started to twist it before grinning, flicking his wrist to make the towel snap out, just a mere few inches from Dai. "Or you might find yourself hit with one of these by accident." he said as he stuck his tongue out at him. Walking towards him, he put an arm around his brother's neck. "Now come on. I'll give you that ice cream when we go to the mall." he said with a grin.

Well, that had failed miserably. "Are you sure it's because of that and not because you might be tempted?" Dai said with a wink and smile though it was entirely playful this time since his brother had reacted that way. Not that it was entirely unexpected. They were brothers and the thoughts crossing his mind was far from brotherly. He blinked, backing off a little at the flicking of the towel, sticking his own tongue out playfully.

He rolled his eyes as his brother put an arm around his neck though it caused the faintest blush to creep across his cheeks. He should be in more control of himself. He wasn't 13 again. "Good. I was wondering when I could get a treat," he said, tone hinting a little at something he'd rather have. He just couldn't help it. It wasn't in his nature to play nice.
