This is a short, sweet, gentle, lovely little manga about two young men, one who is scared of the dark and one who is scared of the light. It sounds like a silly concept, but it worked oddly well. The fears contrast with the characters’ personalities as do their appearances. These sorts of juxtapositions make the manga more fun than if everything was just stereotypical. It’s also nice seeing how these two care for each other and really take into consideration the other’s fear. It can be hard to deal with someone’s fear and seeing how they adjust and are willing to put themselves in an uncomfortable position for the other is nothing short of touching. Furueru Yoru no Himitsugoto is a quick read, easy to get through, and will definitely put a smile on your face.
